My name is Sonia. I’m new to blogging but I've been writing since I can remember, keeping in depth journals and reflecting on a diverse array of spiritual texts since my teens.

I’m currently available for spiritual direction, yoga & meditation.

I’m based in the diverse city if London, but most likely daydreaming of being in a remote part of the world right now.

After experiencing a deeply profound spiritual awakening at the age of 21 I have spent much of my life exploring this deeper but also applying myself to my life in the world, working as a designer. There is a famous Zen Buddhist saying: ‘Before enlightenment, chop wood, carry water. After enlightenment, chop wood, carry water.’

Space for reflection

By sharing my insights through my blog, I hope to create a safe space to allow for heart expansion & the exploration of spirituality. Whether someone is new to exploring this and for the more experienced person, the aim is to hold a space for the deeper levels of being to emerge

Spiritual guidance

Drawing upon my 20+ years of researching, reflecting, studying, and devotion to spiritual practice - I am here to offer anyone who would like some gentle guidance on realising their own inner depths and inner resources. I offer the creation of a tailor made bespoke practice and more general guidance. There are many beautiful resources to draw upon, mantra, prayer, creating a ceremony of devotion, yoga, meditation and breath work ~ all are pathways to the beauty of being

Yoga & Meditation

I have practiced yoga and meditation for 20+ years. I am a registered and qualified 200 hour hatha and vinyasa yoga teacher.  As well as offering guidance in the physical practice, I am skilled in the cultivation of the subtle body and deeper energy centres, which is the true essence of yoga. By bringing together the physical practice and drawing upon the deeper levels, it’s my hope to help people to integrate the deeper sacred aspects of yoga into their practice.

Not that I am enlightened, one day I hope. Awakened perhaps – but I have come to realise that even this is a state of ebb and flow within my consciousness. I’m still trying to figure it all out and I believe that with honesty and humour, we will all get there. It's my sincere hope that by sharing my experiences and knowledge, I might be able help and inspire others on a similar journey. I believe that by opening a space for discussion and real connection, we can all learn from each other with love and compassion. Ultimately, I hope we can be inspired to a path of transformation.

I take a truly diverse approach, having being exposed and integrated an array of different cultures; I’m East Indian in origin, born and spent my early years in Kenya, East Africa, and raised and educated in London, UK. I’ve also lived and worked in Canada and traveled all over the globe. I hold a BA, Postgrad Diploma and a MA. I am also a certified yoga and meditation teacher.
